| Review for: Lismore Scotch |
 |
Not a true single-malt, but an amazing bargain!, Aug 12, 2008

A longtime fan of Speysides, I'd usually kept Cragganmore around as my house Scotch. That changed a little over a year ago when I gambled $21 and went home with a bottle of Lismore. What a pleasant surprise it was to find that, although rather undistinguished and a bit quick on the finish, this vatted malt Scotch gives Cragganmore a run for its money. It has a pleasant nose, is full of fruit and honey, with good smoke in the middle. I have not yet tried the 12-year or the 25-year yet, but I rate this one so highly because -- especially at this price -- it is a very tasty and enjoyable Scotch> I have converted a number of friends, as well! |
