| Review for: La Famiglia Moscato Bianco '01 |
A delight to the palate, Feb 23, 2008
I am pretty discriminatory about the wines I develop an affinity for, but when I first sampled the Moscato Bianco, I fell in love! The flavor drew me in; I started with a sample of this delightful dessert wine, but found it to have a subtle, yet dramatic floral bouquet that drove me to immediately purchase a full glass. That wasn't enough, however. I just had to take it home with me! I ended up purchasing a couple of bottles. I have yet to have found a similar dessert wine that even compares to this wonderful wine! |

| Review for: Lismore Scotch |
Incredible--My Favorite Regular Drink, Feb 23, 2008
(First: I am no connoisseur, but I've been sipping single malts casually for ~10 years)
The initial attraction is the price: Easily half of what you'd pay for the bottle of Glenlivet or Glenfiddich on the same shelf. My current bottle mentions no age, but I remember seeing, perhaps on the older label style, that this is five-year-old scotch. It is very smooth and settles nicely with a couple of rocks or just a few drops. Warm and not too peaty. (I hesitate to use such words given the casualness of my drinking) Before I discovered Lismore, my preferred brands were Macallan and Glenlivet. Now, except to experiment, all I ever buy is Lismore... by the case. I commonly give it as a gift and bring it to parties and so far it has been met solely with rave reviews.
If you can find it, I urge you to give it a try. Unless your regular single malt is simply beyond my comprehension, I think you'll appreciate this one. |

| Review for: Barefoot Chardonnay |
surprisingly great wine, Feb 22, 2008
I am not a "wine snob" by any means, but I liked Barefoot Chardonnay right away. It was light and refreshing, with a fruity aroma. sip this one and you can definitely taste some hints of vanilla, green apple, maybe even a little honey. not too dry, not too sweet. this is a great white wine to have on hand and it doesn't break the bank!!! |

| Review for: Aqua Perfecta Raspberry Liqueur |
Deeelicious, Feb 21, 2008
I'm not much of a liquer drinker, but a family member gave me a bottle of this for my birthday. We decided to break it open after dinner one day. Deeelicious! I was expecting a bitter tasting cough syrup drink. This is now one of my favorites! |

| Review for: Chi Chi's Mango Margarita |
It's addictive!, Feb 13, 2008
Although this is not the best pre-made margarita mixer I have tasted, it is the most addictive.
Chi-Chi's a very sweet and slightly creamy mix that goes down rather well. It is full flavored and you certainly can taste the tequila as it hits your lips.
If you are a light drinker, watch out. This one will grab you by the boo-boo and not let go before its too late.
It's an enjoyable afternoon pour for a party but don't serve it to a margarita pro. |
