100% drinkable,
Nov 10, 2007
Reviewer: robertprivera
very drinkable. No wincing or grimacing whatsoever. None of the alchohol/gasoline taste of cheap 80 proof liqyours (well maybe just a hint). I'm not really accustomed to drinking wine, but this wine might change that. I would describe it as "tangy" and definately not harsh. Other CArlo Rossi flavors have been very dissapointing, but not the paisano.

Come on, what do you really want?,

I'm a completely unapologetic lover of Zinfandel, which is the standard by which I judge all red wines. Can Paisano compare with Zin? Not really -- but it's not meant to! Nor do I want to sit down to a casual dinner of fresh-tomato spaghetti and crack a $20 bottle of good Zin. Paisano is just about perfect for light tomato dishes; the price is very comfortable and it's eminently drinkable as a table wine, which is eactly what it's intended for.
