My hubbie and I did a taste test and we both thought the Hornsby's tasted like vinegar compared to the Strongbow. So it's good, until you've had Strongbow. It's rather like Torani Hazelnut Syrup, but with 24 percent alcohol by volume. Makes a great Italian Soda, especially with a dash of cream. Everyone I have given it to so far liked it as well. It's now a must in my liquor cabinet. Highly recommended. I instantly remembered the age old staple of traditional Bacardi and Coke, so naturally I wondered how "Cherry Rum" would taste when mixed with a Coke. Phemomenal. I was an instant hit with friends and family. Over the last couple of years, I have easily gone through 2 or 3 cases of this stuff at different parties that I have either hosted, or attended. It is alway a hit. SAD NEWS! .... looks like I can't find this in California any longer. BevMo no longer carries it, nor does any other local specialty liquor store. If you can find it, buy it. Pick up a bottle or two, and a 12-pack of regular Coke (not diet). 2 or 3 shots of Cabana Boy Wild Cherry Rum + 1 can of Coke, over ice. Trust me, you'll dig it. I am strictly a vodka drinker and it is very subtle you can take it on the rocks with a twist of lime. It's great.
