| Review for: Everclear 151 Grain Alcohol |
Calories not to be considered, Jul 20, 2008
The calories in Everclear are comparable to your intake. One ounce of 191 is 2.73 times the strength of 70 proof vodka. That means a comparable amount of vodka is 175 calories (64 calories per ounce, unflavored).
Not only is that comparable, but you have to take in fewer fluids, stretching your stomach less and likely contributing less to the drunk munchies.
Either you're drinking, or you're not. If you plan to drink, grain alcohol is no less an option than anything else. Not as a result of calories, at least. |

| Review for: Don Julio 1942 Anejo |
The best introduction to Anejo on the market, Jul 09, 2008
People who are afraid of tequila, particularly macho anejos, should try 1942 before moving on to other high end anejos.
The Don Julio company has given us a wonderful tequila, aged over two years, and added vanilla beans to smooth the rough edges that other anejos may have.
The taste of 1942 is wonderful, but the spirit itself, the "buzz" if you will, is as good as any liquor on the market. Priced reasonably at 100-125 a bottle, it's as good a value as you'll find in the liquor store.
Simply wonderful. |

| Review for: Paul Masson Chocolate Hazelnut Cream |
Chocolate Hazelnut Cream is more than a delight!, Jul 08, 2008
| If you're looking for something sinfully sweet and exceptionally luscious to grace your taste buds, look no further! Paul Masson's Chocolate Hazelnut Cream is guaranteed to satisfy your craving! I had this delicious delectable for the first time last summer, and since then I have refused to purchase any other brand of cream liqueur because Paul Masson is such a treat! This beverage is wonderful to drink straight on the rocks! OR if you're looking for a more diverse way to beat the summer heat, try blending Paul Masson Chocolate Hazelnut Cream liqueur with ice, coffee, and chocolate syrup! You can even top it off with a splash of whipped cream! It tastes similar to a Starbucks Frappuccino except that it contains a refreshing kick! The next time you're shopping for a tasty desert, consider having a glass of Paul Masson Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Liqueur! You won't regret this drinking decision! |

| Review for: Hacienda Del Cristero Plata |
Exceptional Blanco Tequila With Authentic Agave Taste, Jul 07, 2008
I purchased this on my last visit to Mexico. As I understand it, it is not shipped outside the country, maybe the Mexicans want to keep it to themselves. I was attracted to this tequila because of the multiple distillation process and because I always drink Blanco tequilas, thats where the real spirit of tequila is.
I would have to say this is the most exceptional tasting tequila I have ever tried, the real taste of the agave really jumps out at you, but in a mellow and very tasty way. The drink is smooth because of the distillation and it's easily sippable, not harsh at all. Generally I like Patron Silver as well although the Mexicans don't respect it a lot because it is American or something like that. I have tried many tequilas of this breed, Casa Noble, etc etc but Hacienda Del Cristero is easily better and much more enjoyable.
Strongly recommended, especially if you are into blancos. Very very good. As smooth or smoother than Patron with a slightly stronger agave taste. |

| Review for: Duggan's Dew Scotch |
Best for the Price, Jul 06, 2008
This is without a doubt the best Scotch for the money in the liquor store. One outstanding fact is that is 86.5 proof. More bang for your buck. It has a better taste than any of the lower priced brews. The only problem I have found is that is difficult to find in most retail liquor stores.
